The largest event in the state is the
Alaska State Fair in Palmer, held at the
end of each summer. Staff and volunteers
from AACD, Palmer, Wasilla and Kenny
Lake SWCDs reach out to fairgoers during
the 1 -day event with fun activities,
information and prizes. AACD’s quiz &
prize wheel and NRCS’s Alaska’s Awesome
Soils Tunnel provide interactive
opportunities for all ages.
