What we do!
|

|
We
coordinate and implement natural resource programs at a local level in
cooperation with federal and state agencies. The concept is to voluntarily
enlist the cooperation of land owners in the wise use of their natural
resources.
Among other things, we conserve and restore
wetlands providing continued habitat for wildlife. We protect groundwater
resources, plant trees and other land cover to hold soil in place. We
provide information on, and work with land owners in stream bank
restoration, reforestation, erosion control flood prevention, water
conservation and use, water quality and monitoring, forestland management,
wildlife habitat improvement, and waste water management. We also provide
technical guidance and resource management assistance to landowners and
natural resource users who are concerned with federal and state land use
laws and regulations. |
